Betty Lou Rull, of Bunker Hill passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, July 29, in the same home she was born 86 years ago to George and Fontaine Link. She married the love of her life, Norman "Butch" Rull, on June 10, 1951, at Zion Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill. He preceded her in death in November, 2008. In addition to being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a talented seamstress with a creative soul. Her hands were rarely still. Betty was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but wonderful memories. Although she was surrounded by St. Louis Cardinal fans, Betty remained a loyal Chicago Cubs enthusiast throughout her life. Betty is survived by four daughters and their husbands, Roxanne (Ray) Bonnell of Bunker Hill, Regina (Steve) Stone of St. Louis, MO, Rebecca (Rick) Hammett of Fernandina Beach, FL and Rhonda (Ed) Rull-Burger, Godfrey, IL. Five grandchildren-Justin (Melanie) Bonnell of Worden, IL, Ali Stone of St. Louis, MO, Nick (Rachael Fulkerson) Stone, Dallas, TX, Riley and Ricky Hammett of Fernandina Beach, FL. Friends may call on Friday, August 2 from 9-11 am at Zion Lutheran Church Bunker Hill with funeral service to follow at 11am. Burial will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church, Bunker Hill or Adopt-A-Pet, Benld, IL. Kravanya Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
