Cloide Charles Wentler, Sr., 83, of Wilsonville, IL, died at his residence on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 9:30 am. He was born September 30, 1935, in Elkhorn, WI to George Charles Wentler & Mary Ann (Carruthers) Wentler. He married Olga E (Bianco) Wentler on November 19, 1960 in New York City, NY. He was a union meat cutter for Kroger, National and Schnucks. Cloide enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and mowing grass. He was a veteran of the Army. He is survived by his spouse, Olga Wentler of Wilsonville, IL, children, Cloide (Teresa) Wentler of Benld, IL, Joanne Wentler of Benld, IL, Tina (Dean) Nowlan of Coffeen, IL, George (Tonya) Wentler of Wilsonville, IL, grandchildren, Tristan (Sabrina) Wentler, Adam (Kayla) Wentler, Joshua Wentler, Terry Vollintine, Jr., James Vollintine, Joseph (Kate) Vollintine, Meagan Nowlan, Lucas Nowlan, Karie Kruschik, Kadie Kruschik, Alexander Wentler, 8 great grandchildren, siblings, Jean Lindgens, George Wentler, Virginia Murphey, Mary Edith Wentler, Echo Reeves, Donald Wentler, and Sandra Columbo. Cloide was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Lloyd Wentler. Friends may call on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at Life Harvest Church, Wilsonville, IL from 5:00 pm until 7:30 pm. Funeral services are Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at 7:30 PM at Life Harvest Church, Wilsonville, IL. Gravesite services will be Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 1pm at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL. Memorials are suggested to Life Harvest Church, Alzheimer's Association, Wishes of the family or Heartland Hospice.
