Thomas A. Chasteen, 74, of Worden, IL, passed away peacefully at home July 17, 2020. Tom was born June 28, 1946, in Carlinville, IL, to the late Harold D. and Alma I. (Worthen) Chasteen. He married Dorothy N. Reels on May 17, 1968, in White Hall, IL. They moved to Hamel, IL, in 1972 and to their current home in Worden, IL, in 1980. He is survived by his wife, and four children: David Chasteen of Liberty, MO; Brad Chasteen of Worden, IL; Mark (Michelle) Chasteen of Alhambra, IL; and Manda Chasteen of Boulder, CO; five grandchildren: Brok, Mickala, Marshall, Bryce, and Kevin; a brother, John (Pat) Chasteen of Gillespie, IL; a sister, Patricia (Karl) Ivey of Ft. Pierce, FL; a sister-in-law, Pat Chasteen of Carlinville, IL; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ronald Chasteen. Tom was an electrician and member of I.B.E.W. Local 309 for 31 years, retiring in 2002. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of American Legion Post 564 in Worden, IL, for many years. Cremation rites were entrusted to Kravanya Funeral Home of Benld, IL, with the interment of his ashes at a private service.
